It is a fitting stage for a brand that has gone from a standing start to a full model range in a little over twelve months, and it places Leapmotor in front of exactly the audience it was built for: Irish drivers actively weighing up their first electric car.

The star of the Leapmotor stand will be the B03X, the brand’s new compact SUV and the first Leapmotor model developed on an all-new global platform. B03X pricing will be announced in the coming weeks, with cars landing on dealer forecourts in November 2026.

Alongside it, visitors will get their first public look at the new B05 C-Hatchback, which was officially launched just last week. With B05, Leapmotor enters the C-Segment hatchback market, one of the most competitive and important segments in the country, offering C-Segment space and specification at traditional B-Segment prices, retailing from €28,998, inclusive of SEAI grant and VRT rebate, with up to 482 km WLTP range.

The full Leapmotor range will be on display across the weekend, from the compact T03 city car to the C10 large family SUV and the B10 compact SUV. Visitors will also be able to get behind the wheel. Leapmotor will also feature in the myenergi Driving Experience across both days of the show, giving attendees the chance to drive the models for themselves.

Leapmotor marked the official launch of its new B05 C-Hatchback in the Irish market, at a press launch in Gowan Auto’s HQ in Citywest, on Monday September 7th, 2026. Available nationwide for test drive and purchase across the Leapmotor dealer network since mid-August, the fully electric B05 represents the brand’s entry into the C-Segment hatchback market in Ireland, one of the most competitive and important segments in the country, pivotally with a 30% BEV mix. Offering C-Segment space and specification at traditional B-Segment prices, B05 retails from €28,998, inclusive of SEAI grant and VRT rebate.

B05 is the fourth model to arrive since Ireland’s newest car brand launched in October 2025, joining the T03 compact city car, the B10 compact SUV and the C10 large family SUV. It arrives with the Leapmotor retail network now standing at ten franchise dealers across eight counties, following the appointment of Lynn Motors in Dundalk, Co. Louth last month. Two further models will follow in short order, with the B03X compact SUV arriving in Q4 2026 and the B03 hatchback in Q1 2027, bringing Leapmotor to a six-model line-up in Ireland inside eighteen months of the brand’s arrival.

Entry-level STYLE arrives comprehensively equipped as standard, with 19” aerodynamic alloy wheels, frameless doors, LED automatic headlights, a 14.6” central touchscreen paired with an 8.8” digital cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, digital and NFC key, automatic air conditioning, V2L (Vehicle-to-Load), over-the-air updates, seven airbags, 21 ADAS functions and a 360° parking camera. DESIGN adds a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, eco-leather seats, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, automatically folding mirrors, rear privacy glass, rain sensors and a 12-speaker audio system.

At 4,430 mm long and 1,880 mm wide, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase and a drag coefficient of 0.26, B05 combines a coupe-inspired silhouette with genuine everyday practicality, including a 345-litre boot that extends to 1,400 litres with the rear seats folded. Hidden door handles, a blade-style lighting signature and a low, forward-leaning stance give the car a distinctive presence on the road.

Performance is equally compelling. Co-developed with Stellantis’ global chassis team and specifically tuned for European roads, B05 features a rear-wheel-drive architecture, 50:50 weight distribution and MacPherson front and multi-link rear suspension. Its electric motor delivers 160 kW (218 hp) and 240 Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.

Both battery options are built around Leapmotor’s Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) architecture, which integrates the battery directly into the vehicle structure to improve efficiency, reduce weight and increase cabin space. On DC fast charging, B05 will charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 16 minutes with the 56.2 kWh battery and approximately 17 minutes with the 67.1 kWh battery. On a 7.5 kW home charger, the same 30% to 80% charge takes approximately three hours and 44 minutes and four hours and 24 minutes respectively.

Inside, the cabin is powered by Leapmotor’s latest operating system, Leap OS 4.0 Plus, while the Leapmotor App gives owners full remote access to key vehicle functions including climate control, charge scheduling, vehicle status monitoring and digital key functionality.

Leapmotor Ireland is proud to announce the launch of its new 'Take The Leap Champion’ initiative, celebrating the inspiring stories behind the 2026 Vhi Women's Mini Marathon, marking Leapmotor's inaugural year as Official Motor Sponsor of the much-loved national event.

Running from March to May 2026, the initiative invites the people of Ireland to nominate women taking part in this year's event whose deeply personal 'what drives me' stories reflect the incredible resilience, courage and emotional transformation that define both the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon and Leapmotor's 'Take the Leap' ethos.

Each month, from March through May, one outstanding nominee will be named a 'Take The Leap Champion'. Monthly champions will receive a Leapmotor goodie bag,VIP access to the 2026 Vhi Women's Mini Marathon, and an on-the-day interview with a well-known friend of Leapmotor, before the event begins on May 31st.

On race day, one of the three monthly winners will be crowned the overall 'Take The Leap Champion', receiving the use of a brand-new 262-registration Leapmotor for six months, through to the end of 2026.
